System settings

Role

The manage_system_settings role is required to use this feature

The system settings screen contains various settings that can be configured to customize the behavior of the site. Depending on the privileges of the user, up to three tabs will be available on the screen, which are described below.

General settings

This screen contains various general settings for the site. Below is an overview of the options:

Site identity

The name of the current site can be edited in the top banner on the screen by clicking on the site name.

Fields

IP whitelist (CIDR)

The IP whitelist is a list of IP addresses and/or ranges that are allowed to access the site. If the list is empty, all IP addresses are allowed. If the list is not empty, only the IP addresses in the list are allowed. Each item in the (newline-separated) list may either be an individual IP address, or a CIDR-notation range (e.g. 10.0.0.0/8).

Engines

This section contains a list of all available engines. The user can select the available engines from the dropdown list. Note that engines currently in use by device profiles or switches cannot be removed.

Device provisioning target

Sets a target for device provisioning. A bar on the dashboard will show "x out of y devices provisioned," where x is the number of devices that have been created in the site and y is the configured target.

VPN users firewall

The VPN users firewall section contains a list of all switches on the site. A user can select the switch from the dropdown list.

Others

Allow site access by ZEM product engineers

Checking this option will authorize ZEM product engineers to access this site in order to offer better support.

Prevent group 'overbooking' when adding devices

Checking this option will add an extra validation layer when adding or assigning a device, preventing adding of devices to groups that are already at their maximum device port capacity.

Site UUID & Tenant token

This section contains the Tenant token and site UUID buttons for the current site, clicking these buttons copy them to the clipboard. The Tenant token is used to interact with the API.

Authentication settings

Role

The manage_auth_integrations role is required to use this feature.

This page is used to configure the authentication settings for the site. This feature is described in-depth on the SSO (Single Sign-On) page.

Danger zone

The danger zone is only visible if the user has the appropriate privilege level, or is the owner of the current site. It contains settings that can have a significant impact on the system and should be used with caution.

Delete site

The 'delete site' section contains a button to delete the current site and is only visible to the owner (e.g. creator) of the site or administrators. This action is irreversible and will delete all data associated with the site. The user will be prompted to confirm the deletion and will be required to create a backup, if one does not already exist.
